Importance of Standard of Living and how the 5 Themes Of Geography analyze Standard of Living and Economics


I think it is important to know about standard of living because it is something that everyone has and it is an issue in a lot of countries. If people know how to identify standard of living and knew the indicators then they could help to fix it. It is important to know about standard of living because it shows you what a country is like. If they have a low standard of living you know they might not have as good wealth, health, or education. If they have a high standard of living you know they could have a good amount of wealth, health, or education.
I think movement can be used to analyze economics and standard of living because it can include the movement of goods, which could be trade or goods and services. I also think that the movement of electricity is a good analyzer because it can help show standard of living. Movement of people can be used to show standard of living too. It could be based off the number of paved roads there are to walk or drive on.

Map Skills Paragraph

One thing I found easy for me was continents and oceans titles because I think I know names very well. It is easy for me because I know the world pretty well and they are like the titles on books or magazines and it stands out to me. The thing I struggled with the most is most likely longitude and latitude because it is harder for me to find exactly where something is. The thing that makes it more difficult for me is placing something in a certain spot and finding its longitude and latitude because you have to look on a map and sort of estimate where exactly it would be. Basic map skills are necessary because if you get lost and your phone died, you need to be able to read a map to get home or somewhere familiar.  They help me better understand geography because I can read and know more about the earth’s surface which can help during tests and quizzes and projects.
